In 2008 it will be 30 years that Shawano, Wisconsin and the northeast Wisconsin area have presented a folk
music festival.
The festival is at the Mielke Theater in Shawano Wisconsin. See the Photo Gallery. Traditionally there are two evening concerts,
one Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 pm.
Workshops, performances and crafts are presented from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m on Saturday and Sunday.
Typically, each hour will have four stages operating with a variety of
music and dance for all ages. Sunday morning kicks-off with a Gospel sing-a-long workshop. The Sunday afternoon Dance workshops have become a favorite tradition.
All weekend there will be programs that will get children singing and dancing with their parents and grandparents.
Children 12 & Under are Free Saturday and Sunday during the day. Inexpensive food and non-alcoholic
